Weekly Roundup Monday February 22nd:

It was so nice to finally see a bit of sunshine🌞 over the past few days and the good weather must have spurred everyone one on as we have loads of members well and truly passed the 100km marks for the February challenge well done all. 🙌🏻There's still a week to go and it looks like everyone will cross the finish line.
The DBRC blue was well represented in Dublin and beyond over the weekend with loads of you posting pics with your lovely gear. You wear it well, keep them coming. Whisperings of extended lockdown may have annoyed us all but as always we plough on and keep training looking forward to better times when we can run together. Something to look forward to, we have an exciting announcement in the coming days about a DBRC virtual race so watch this space.....
Well done to members Charles & Lou (ahem) 'still standing' in EOI Last Person Standing, it's on Week 7 now and getting tougher by the week! Let us know if you've anything to report on the virtual race front. See the posts for news of local races Lusk 4 Mile and Portmarnock Road to Beach Run both coming up.
February challenge leader board is below please let me know if I haven't included you or have any details wrong and I will edit.

Our club motto - “Me, We!”

Me, we.” by Muhammad Ali is the shortest poem recognised by Oxford University. Ali used it to sum up his career, as in there can be no “me” without “we” – the support of his family, his friends and his fans. It's same with our club...we only succeed when we work together.

The latest club news can be found here.

Through the East of Ireland Marathon Series, Dublin Bay Running Club aims to make running events such as 10kms, half marathons, full mararthons and ultra marathons affordable and convienient for the runners of Ireland. We aim to promote marathon running and to make the process as stress free and enjoyable as possible. All courses are measured to full AAI standards and have a minimum of 10 Entrants. The races are self sufficent to a degree although there is a limited supply of water available on the day. Information on upcoming races can be found here.   https://www.sportszone.ie/current-events.php

Keep us posted on your adventures!
