Weekly Roundup Tuesday December 1st:

We enter Level 3 restrictions from today so the good news is that group training can resume. We will be doing a trail run on Saturdays so watch the page for details. Info on weekly training sessions is coming very soon. As always, it is important we adhere to the guidelines set out by the government and AAI. Here's Athletic's Ireland official line on training:
The nation moves to Level 3 from today Tuesday 1st December and the key implications for our sport are detailed below. The full Level 3 restrictions can be found on this link https://www.gov.ie/en/publication/ad569-level-3/
Outdoors: Non contact training only in pods of up to 15 (for example: golf, tennis, horse riding, hunting, Gaelic games, soccer, outdoor basketball). There is an exemption for professional and elite sports and approved inter-county Gaelic games.Indoors: Individual training only. No exercise or dance classes (for example: no ballet, gymnastics, basketball, racketball, squash, zumba, drama).Gyms, leisure centres and swimming pools can open for individual use only, with protective measures in place.
Well the week kicked off on a high for members who ran the Dublin Marathon Virtual events in October as the medals & hats (and in some cases surprise compression sleeves) were posted out. It was an event like no other this year so the medal means even more. Wear it with pride and well done again to everyone who took part.

Our club motto - “Me, We!”

Me, we.” by Muhammad Ali is the shortest poem recognised by Oxford University. Ali used it to sum up his career, as in there can be no “me” without “we” – the support of his family, his friends and his fans. It's same with our club...we only succeed when we work together.

The latest club news can be found here.

Through the East of Ireland Marathon Series, Dublin Bay Running Club aims to make running events such as 10kms, half marathons, full mararthons and ultra marathons affordable and convienient for the runners of Ireland. We aim to promote marathon running and to make the process as stress free and enjoyable as possible. All courses are measured to full AAI standards and have a minimum of 10 Entrants. The races are self sufficent to a degree although there is a limited supply of water available on the day. Information on upcoming races can be found here.   https://www.sportszone.ie/current-events.php

Keep us posted on your adventures!
